After completing her medical studies at Université de Sherbrooke, Brigitte Maheux pursued academic training in public health and social psychology in the United States (MPH, MA, PhD). Throughout her career, she has been interested in the influence of medical education on physicians' focus on prevention. She has been a professor in the Département de médecine sociale et préventive at Université de Montréal for over 20 years. As a researcher and later a professor in public health at the Master's and Doctoral levels, she then took her career in a new direction, working in preventive medical education, most particularly as head of the community medicine clerkship program. She is also the author of De l’enfance à la vieillesse : Soigner pour prévenir , a textbook used to teach prevention to medical students.

Andrée Gilbert is a medical consultant in the Preventive Clinical Services Sector at Direction de santé publique de Montréal. After working as a family physician for several years, she completed a Masters in community medicine. Dr. Gilbert is assistant clinical professor in the Faculté de médecine at Université de Montréal and co-director of the community medicine clerkship program. She also teaches motivational interviewing in this program. She is Director of Education, Lucie and André Chagnon Chair, and coauthor of the textbook De l’enfance à la vieillesse : Soigner pour prévenir published by the Chair.

Omobola completed her medical training in Nigeria. She holds a Master’s degree in Public Health from the University of Leeds, UK. Her interest in preventive medicine stems from her clinical practice experience. Having practiced medicine in sub-Saharan Africa and in the UK, she realizes the on-going need for preventive health care services. Her commitment to improving preventive service delivery brought her to the Chair where she is involved with the research projects and the organization of the community medicine clerkship.

Gina Désauguste, pediatrician by training, has studied at the Faculty of Medicine of the State University of Haiti. Following clinical experience, she completed a master's degree in community health at the University of Montreal. She has a special interest in perinatal health, the health of children, adolescents and various health programs aimed at them. Medical advisor to the Chair since 2012, she has worked in particular to update the book " De l’enfance à la vieillesse – Soigner pour prévenir " as well as the development of formative tests online teaching preventive medicine to medical students. Dr. Desauguste is also involved in the administrative and pedagogical clerkship in community medicine at the University of Montreal.
